4. This does not mean you have to go out right now and spend thousands of dollars on a new skincare system but what I do recommend is start with a simple routine. Cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen. Get in the groove of a skincare routine and eventually you will feel more comfortable adding on more products such as eye cream, masks and enhancers.
5. Getting a monthly facial can be beneficial for your skin and also for your well-being. It’s a pause from the chaos when you can just enjoy some “me time”. If you can’t make it in every month make it a seasonal habit. Skin changes with seasons and it’s nice to get a refresher!
6. If facials aren’t your thing that’s totally cool but make sure you still continue with a good at home skincare routine and don’t forget to take care of yourself. I’m happy to recommend skincare products that you can use at home on your schedule.
This topic has been on my mind for a while, especially around the holidays when people feel like they can’t invest in their skin let alone in themselves. I’m even the type of person that has a hard time treating myself to something but I’ve also started to realize if I don’t take care of myself I can’t take care of others around me. I am a wife, sister, daughter, friend, small business owner and introvert (to the max). By not taking care of myself I end up failing those around me and as a result tend to lose steam. My goal as an esthetician is to never sell you on anything, rather help you develop a skincare plan that works well with your schedule and budget. Just remember you are totally worth it
